Upper in mesh of recycled yarns

These running shoes were made with a recycled yarn mesh upper to be ultra-lightweight and breathable. Micro-perforations in the mesh allow vapour, heat and moisture to escape to the outside of the shoe where it can then quickly dissipate whilst simultaneously encouraging cool air to enter the shoe and permeate it. This helps your feet breathe and stay dry for a cool, pleasant experience. Its lightweight nature helps you run even faster without bulk and weight holding you back, and its recycled composition makes this shoe a sustainable option. A gusseted tongue helps keep dirt and debris out for added comfort and safety while running, and a protective layer on the front of the toes protects your feet from sharp rocks and debris on the trail. A traditional lacing system anchors your foot in the shoe for advanced security, stability and control, so you can tackle any trail.

PROFLY midsole

The PROFLY midsole consists of ultralight foam on the top and EVA on the bottom. PROFLY foam works to provide a soft, propulsive experience by protecting you during heel impact and propelling you forward for a stable toe-off. Responsive EVA on the outsole works by attenuating shock and cushioning the foot during impact. This helps protect the foot from stress and strain, reducing the risk of injury, while also providing springy rebound to propel you forward, using the power of the last stride to power you into the next. In addition, the molded EVA insole ensures extra comfort, cushioning and responsiveness.

Vibram Litebase sole

The Vibram Litebase sole offers maximum grip. This durable outsole is covered with 4mm lugs for multi-directional grip on wet, dry, smooth and rough surfaces. This outsole delivers reliable traction for quick, responsive movement, from toe to turn, and lets you navigate challenging terrain with confidence. All this grip and traction power is packed into a thin, light package, up to 30% lighter than other Vibram soles and up to 50% thinner, for excellent speed and proprioception, all without reducing performance.

HOKA ONE ONE is the fantastic creation of two great sportsmen Jean-Luc Diard & Nicolas Mermoud, who have a huge passion for adventure and trail running that has taken them everywhere around the world. As they began to think about the variables that affect running, they came to the conclusion that fatigue, impact and muscle soreness were the cardinal points. So they decided to create a shoe that could relieve fatigue, impact force and muscle pain. From this idea was born the first HOKA ONE ONE shoe, which in the Maori language means “Now it’s time to fly”.
